Water Main Break
 

A Precautionary Boil Water Notice was issued on September 27, 2016 for the Little Sumter Service Area (LSSA) area due to a 12" water main break near the intersection of El Camino Real and Buenos Aires Blvd. Due to the resulting low water system pressure, all homes and businesses served by the LSSA water system in District No. 2 and businesses along El Camino Real, Buenos Aires Blvd., and east of US 441 north of Bella Cruz Drive are impacted. There will be 3,669 residential homes 200 businesses affected.

The Villages impacted include: Village of Harmeswood of Belle Aire, Village of Alhambra, Village of Santiago, Village of Santa Domingo.

All businesses/homes affected are being notified of the boil water requirements and all those affected will be notified when samples have come back clear. This process usually consists of a two day sampling period to insure safe drinking water.

I have never heard of so many water main breaks in my life! WTH?! 30 years in North Florida and only had water boil order after a major hurricane. In TV, it seems like it is monthly.

What part of North Florida? They all come up with a lot.
