Matthew: updates from Out my Window
 

Since the webcams are down, I just wanted to let any out of town residents know, that so far we have had a rather quiet night. Mainly rain off and on. The wind is just beginning to pick up - that started around 4am. So far so good. My thoughts are with the folks on the east coast.

In a siding home in hillsborough. Still dark but we are good. I wanted to buy in Cocoa. Husband wanted to buy in TV. Guess whose the smart one today.

Was amazed to arise at 6am and find it DRY! That was a giant blessing, since I was very worried about how I would get my dogs to go out in torrential rains. It's raining hard right now, with wind gusts. Husband went for a quick walk around the block while it was dry, and no evidence of damage of any kind.

Thanks for the update. I've been wondering what was happening in TV! I miss those cameras! I thought they might have took them down for the hurricane. But, someone said on another thread that only so many can view them at one time!?!?!?

Wind 9 - 14 mph, 0.24 inches of rain since midnight in The Village of Glenbrook, Light rain at 8 am.

Two major issues in Mallory for me personally...

1. The news media is in full frenzy driving me nuts, where do all these field reporters go when this is over? Are there that many jobs?
   
2. The country clubs are closed for reasons that I cannot understand. I was looking forward to my Friday pizza at Mallory, but I guess wind and on and off rain is way too dangerous.

Pinellas 1 inch of rain overnight, just checked the guage at 8 am. Looks like the heavy stuff is about an hour away.

All is fine here on 466 so far.

I will never complain about not having damage.
