Bling

The other day I was waiting for my car to be finished @ a local car wash.

The couple next to me had so much bling on their hands & wrists--they would never need hand weights @ the gym

It was the real stuff,too

IMHO-- they are asking to be robbed--senior citizens are easy targets--don't make it too tempting.

They were hoping you'd be impressed.

Bling doesn't impress me --sold my 'stuff" years ago--I'm not a saver/hoarder--if we don't use it--its gone

The Admiral has some really good rocks--but she will only wear them if I'm nearby & carrying

My lovely wife is low maintenance. If Revlon had to count on her they'd go out of business!

Once my lifestyle changed I gave all my good stuff to my beautiful granddaughters .........

That might of been my wife and I...we have lots of money and really like shiny objects...it is not like we are going to be washing the car ourselves anytime soon! :a040:

Husband washed our car in the driveway yesterday. Didn't catch any glimpse of the family jewels.:1rotfl:

Do people in the real world say bling anymore?

rubicon 10-25-2016 05:17 AM

Never cared for jewelry and never wore any at all . I especially disliked the gold chain open collar look on guys. Indeed on this subject less is more

So for ones their ring that has been passed down from generation to generation should just be given away you obviously do not have a precious piece. What you think is too shiny for you, to someone else is a memory that they should continue to have and wear proudly.

The woman had a a 5ct. rock on a mount that was built up to make it look better than it really is. the rock was really shallow for its diameter. How do I know my wife has the same size rock-bur with a much simpler mount--platinum not yellow gold. Their stuff was too new to be inherited.

We are surrounded by lots of have-nots, don't advertise to get robbed
