Los Magueyes Restaurant
We went to Los Magueyes tonight in Wildwood; they have doubled the size and tonight there was a Mariachi band. Both the food :mmmm::and the band were great. :BigApplause:

It is off Main St. in Wildwood. there is a strip mall with an Ace Hardware in it, also post office and other stores. Los Meguyes is on the other end of that strip near the furniture store. |
We love it there. Great food and friendly attentive staff.
|
Yes great place and excellent margaritas. We go about every two weeks.
|
Have not been there since Tuesday and will be going there tonight after golf. Our favorite restaurant "in" The Villages. The fresh quac is wonderful.
|
The last time we were there they were making Margaritas with wine, has that changed? Did not care for the wine version, like the tequila so haven't been back because of the drinks.
|
Never had one made with wine. The ones I have there are made with Tequila.

No Tequila Legally Served

Los Tres Magueyes Mexican Restaurant liquor license is 2COP. From the Florida ABC website that means: Beer and Wine Consumption on Premises (2COP). If they were using tequila they would require: Beer, Wine and Liquor Consumption on Premises (4COP, 5COP, 6COP, 7COP, 8COP). |

As far as package stores in Florida, that's whole different story. Florida quit issuing package liquor licenses sometime around 1939, so when you see a package store open, chances are somewhere else one closed. Now since Florida is always growing, everytime we add 7,500 new residents they will add one new liquor license. For a fee you can be in the lottery to maybe win that license. They are valuable. They are property just like a home or car and can be inheritable. They normally resell for between $50,000 to $750,000 depending on the demand. That's one reason if you ever looked for a liquor store for sale, you'll wonder why that little shop costs $500,000 and they don't even own the building, that's why. |

We went there for dinner again tonight. Consistently good food. And Negro Modelo Ole! Yes, the beer is cold.
|
We were there last night. Right now the service is much slower than in the past. I'm guessing they are still gearing up to their new size. Food is still great.
