If you have a DD214 with an honorable discharge, you don't need the class to get your permit. In fact, you don't even need to mail it in yourself anymore. There was a story in the Sun yesterday that the Tax Collector's Office Randy Mask at the gold dome now will handle your application. They take your photo, fingerprints and your money ($124) and a copy of your DD214 or a competancy test and fill out the paperwork online for you. You'll need an appointment.

As for Figmo Bohica, I remember seeing that screen name, but it's not a real name, or at least it would seem weird if it was. It's 2 Army slang words put together. Anyway, there is a gun club here now that poster might be involved with and they have classes. I have a friend who just took a class from a Villages gun club last Monday, so this must be it.

Florida Gun Supply in Inverness is doing what they refer to as FREE conceal carry classes. You actually have to pay $20 to cover his costs.

The owner who gives the class is a nice guy but a bit over the top with anti Muslim stuff etc.

They do provide a lot of good services and information. To me it's worth the 45 minute ride.

The Concealed Weapons Permit Course will be held at the Shows. Classes are on a first come/first served basis starting at 10:00am and 1:00pm both Saturday and Sunday.
