New Eye Glasses
 

Who has the best prices for eye glasses in the area? Just got a new prescription yesterday at Ocala Eye. Past experience back in Maryland always less expensive to by eye wear at a business other than at the eye doctors office.

Costco. Not sure if Sam's has eye glasses

A few years ago, I got a buy one get one at Walmart for less than $100. One regular and one sun. Mid Florida Eye wrote the initial rx wrong and Walmart corrected at no charge.

coastal.com is great if you know what you are looking for. That said, I have heard nothing but great things about Walmart and their "no-fault" warranty on their products.

I have no idea how fast Walmart and Costco are. My prescription requires ALL of the local stores EXCEPT Hindsight (Pinellas Plaza) to send out the Rx, and wait 2 weeks, Hindsight was able to do these in ONE day. Very pleased. I cannot comment on the cost, except that I know they were about $100 cheaper then the lab connected with the doctor.

Sam's has a large optical dept.

I would recommend Sam's. Good basic selection, good service and really nice people.

We like Eyeglass World in Ocala. They have a large selection, prices are very reasonable and you get a second pair with only paying the cost of insurance ($15). They are excellent on repairs and replacements.
