Never drive the company vehicle like an idiot
 

So - on our way to the Zoo (WalMart). Of course I got stopped at more than half of the lights northbound from Rio Grande (all of them south bound).

But, heading north I noticed a man who seemingly was VERY enamored with my rear bumper. He was going lane to land and racing behind traffic. Simply, being a jerk.

Well, "Mike Cook" who is a painter (his truck has his logo, his name and "when lines count" on the side)...not really a great example of how you want to drive among your potential client base.

I often see contractors and what not in and around TV. I can say that Massey has some very polite drivers in their vehiles, as does Century Link and many others...but, this idiot (who then turned right just before Lowes) should give a little though to how the public and potential customers perceive him.

You might want to actually call Mike Cook, as this might have been an employee, and give him time, date and location....JMHO

That would be an interesting forum. "Contractor Beware" - oh what a hornets nest that would open. I can only imagine it would be worse than the political forum.

You are so right I used to work for an insurance company that insured large fleets of semis. One day I was run off the road by a hotdogger driving one of those semis that we insured. (name on the side) He was driving it without the trailer and as if he was driving a hot rod trying to run over people left and right. Being that I worked for insurance company I told my boss and he was the loss prevention director for the insurance company. He called the owner of the company and it turned out the driver was the owner's son and the owner was not a happy camper. You just never know who is watching.

Some nasty truck driver for a large company did that to us on I75. Funny thing, there was a bumper sticker on the back of the truck with "How's my driving?" And a phone number to call. I did, and reported him. They were not happy either. I gave them the license plate number and location. He was cutting around everyone, lane to lane. Very dangerous. And you usually end up at the destination right next to them. Same for speeders here in TV. You meet them at the next stoplight or roundabout. Makes you wonder.

I share your concerns regarding the irresponsible driver. However I also would not compare the Walmart with a Zoo

Mike was probably late to his next appointment? You know the saying time is money and bumper to bumper on 441 from stop light to stop light wasting his time.

Don't get me started on obnoxious drivers. You know the one's that pass you in the right lane then swerve back in the right lane, slam on they're brakes and turn in front of you using their blinker as they turn making you slam on your brakes. Or the ones the stop at roundabout when NO traffic coming, then they coast through 4way stop or stop so far out in the street they impede traffic from the left. Can't stop:Screen_of_Death: the ones setting at stop sign or light look right at you then pull out in front of you and poke along. Or the ones that won't use their Blinker lights in heavy traffic! need I go on......and on....and on.....:icon_bored:

I watched a Village Movers truck/trailer blow thru two red lights on 466A one Friday evening. I called the number that was on the truck and reported it. Doubt it had any effect.

I was driving in Orlando a few months ago. About 200 feet in front of me was a business van weaving in and out of traffic recklessly. I could tell there was a “how’s my driving” sign on the back of the van but I couldn’t make out the number from a distance. I got closer so I could read the number.

You should call anyway. Otherwise Mike will never know he's losing business due to his driving.
