Pulling out shrubs
 

Any recommendations for a reasonable landscaper who will remove shrubs and some small trees??

Depending upon what you consider "small," you might have to get approval to remove the trees.
I'm not sure what the diameter is for removal without permission, but you would be wise to check on it.

Have the same problem with dead bushes. I tried to dig them out but it's like concrete. Deans was here while I was struggling and with one swift pull took it out and then threw it in their truck. No charge.

There is a department who you can call and I believe it is at your town hall. They give a approved list of people who do the work you require. Take your time and find this list as you may learn from my mistake of selecting some clown that was working in my neighborhood. Without to much detail...it wasn't good for him or me. My need for speed goofed me up. Slow and steady and cautiously is the correct path.
