Possible House Purchase - Advice Needed
 

My wife and I have lived in TV for a little over three years. We like our current house very much, but there is a feature or two we would like in our "forever home" that our current home does not have. We'd like to start looking for a house to buy, but we are in no hurry.

We'd like to just be on the lookout for that "perfect home" (does that exist??) in our price range. That "feature or two" I mentioned will likely be fairly rare in our price range, but we know it exists.

So how do we best go about looking for a home when only a very few would we even consider. Is it possible to convey our desires to a realtor or realtors and have them just keep an eye out for us, fully understanding that they likely wouldn't want to dedicate a lot of time to us since we're in no hurry and have very specific wants?

Or should we just look totally on our own? Are there other options?
