Star Trek movie

Excellent! Saw it this morning at LSL. Enjoyed it. Worth the time and the money.

Thanks for review...can't wait to see it.

Thank you Steve. To be honest, there could be 100 reviews that said it stinks, I'd see it anyway. It's a Star Trek movie.:pepper2:

As I was doing the Vulcan mind meld this morning with my doggie, Jake, I was given the message to see the film. It must be a winner.

I saw it last night at the 7pm show and loved it. The audience (and the theater was packed) applauded at the end. I'll go back again and again.

For 3 years of my life my Friday Night Date was Star Trek, The Original Series.
I planned on being disappointed with this one but surprise , surprise I Loved It!!!!
Will see it again and look forward to the sequel.:pepper2::pepper2::pepper2:

See it on IMAX if you can. Really makes a big difference.

I saw this movie on its opening day and then again on May 11, 2009 on IMAX. There was quite a difference in sound and sight between the two. Like watching a movie on a huge HD TV screen with a surround sound set of stereos.

Spock

Spock has aged a lot in Vulcan years, I guess.

The only thing I would have liked is Kirk should have said the "Where no man has gone before" at the end, instead of Spock.

With movies in general, they need to show the picture of the actors along with their names at the end.
This is my pet peeve, anyone else?

Live long and prosper.

Whatever happened to Kirks Mom?

Wasn't Spocks Mom in the original series, if so how could she have died?

Believe you're right about Spock's mom being in the original series. Maybe he got the ability to come back to life from her.

That's the tricky thing about movies that involve time travel. Remember, in the original series Vulcan had not yet been destroyed - hence Spock's mom would have been alive for the original trip through time, but not in the trip through time after it had been changed by the events of this movie.

agreed - worth seeing

just saw it on Labor Day at the Discount Movie place here in Columbus, OH - I have a hard time paying full price for a movie that will soon be on sale - but I still like seeing movies on the big screen. Anyway, another thumbs up from me - and I didn't like them all. About fell asleep in a couple of them. This one had lots of humor, lots of action, and not too much roaming around space admiring the view.
