Yep, it will probably hurt his chances at being elected.....hmmm..wait a minute.

I doubt it is as much a scandal as the Clinton Foundation will be or Hillary being charged with treason.

This from the guy who told Morning Joe he never settles a lawsuit because it makes you look guilty. Trump also said at the same time 'once you settle one lawsuit, many more will follow'. He should have listened to himself.

Let's get real here, if he wasn't Pres elect he would have litigated the case may have won or lost.

But is is possible he did this for the good of moving ahead with the task of assembling his cabinet and others needed to run his presidency?

I think he may have put his country first.

The 25M isn't going to break his wallet, I'm sure he's not happy but look at the millions he put in play for his campaign.

He was not president elect when he made those statements. Secondly some lawsuits should be settled rather than litigated for numeral reasons . Third the courts to alleviate their court calendars make mediation mandatory for favoring settlements rather than litigation. Fourth often the costs money, time ,logistics often are the decisive consideration rather than liability

People will read into this settlement what they want to believe. I can't know why they settled, did the judge strongly recommended it, did the plaintiffs believed Trump election adversely affect their claims and would forestall any activity until he left office or even perhaps that they recognized they had a weak case and got out when the getting was good????

He settled because he did not expect to be President Elect.

He is the only defense and would be required to take the stand, and having a President Elect, UNDER OATH either lie or tell how he pulled a con job.

There are more cases to come on this con job, and wondering how this settlement might set a precedent.

Folks, I know you suddenly love this guy, but he was and is a con artist. Hope is that he recognizes that somehow he got elected and has a responsibili of epic proportions.

Well, here we are and he has one hell of a tough job to do.

I bet he'll let his VP and staff do most of the heavy lifting, while he is "doing deals" on the side...that benefits Trump Inc.

Vegas odds three to one that Trump will be impeached by the end of his second year in office.

I do not see impeachment, but I do see him resigning early on.

This election is going to have a big impact on his business. If you read today's WSJ, they are saying the best he can do is sell everything and put it in a blind trust. Of corse, Rudy G says that would put his kids "out if work", but very rich.

The Journal see so muc conflict of interest with tax reform wall st reform, etc. along with his many foreign interests.

I recall a "friend" of his saying even before he got the nomination that he spoke to him and asked "Donal, do you really want to be President" and the response was no. Many "circles have offered this same scenario.

Watch for Pence to be doing more and becoming more visible.

He is a smart guy...he is in way over his head, and will never allow himself to look like a loser (nobody ever served as president and keft unscathed). The last gal who claimed sexual assault is not done yet, and her claim is during his current marriage.

Again, he is smart and I think he will simply resign. He comes into office with a lot of baggage.

Lawyers and Accountants correct me if I'm wrong. $25,000,000 divided by 6,000 plaintiffs equals $4,166 each. Minus taxes on the settlement and percentage legal fees. Should be enough left for a week at Disney World for a family of four if you stay at the "All Star Sports Resort."
Incredibly, President-Elect Trump will have a $25,000,000 tax write off for 2016. Sounds like a win win outcome for all concerned. Maybe, not so much if you invested $35,000 of your retirement money in a non accredited "University".

The Donald does what is in the country's best interest even if it cost him money, a true patriot, God bless THE DONALD, God bless America.

Listen to all the talking heads and their predictions. Look at the hate feast continuing to be built against Trump because the other side prediction of a big Hillary victory amounted only to their wishful thinking. Should one then believe the dismal predictions of a Trump failure?

What did progressives call of any and all of the criticism made against Obama, oh yea racism, etc etc.

Far too many progressives by their actions display who they really are and they will continue this campaign of hate well beyond the inauguration, sanctioned by the way by Obama. They will continue to exaggerate and fabricate stories about Trump's character, his presidential actions, his family , etc because they must marginalize him or their heads will explode. Trump's situation concerning his divesting from his enterprise to satisfy any claims of conflicts of interest may be problematic but all problems have satisfactory solutions. If there is a perceived conflict of interest I would join in to raise a complaint but let's give the process time
