Yes, crime is higher in areas where the population of African American young people are living, but you surely are intelligent to know that all high crime areas are economically depressed, and in areas NOT populated by blacks, but whites, that same high crime situation exists.

I do not know your color or religion, but I am betting that you always hoped they would be judged on their abilities and character and nothing else. I also suspect that you worked hard to live in lower crime areas for their benefit. That is great and you did the right thing.

Why then can you not have the same wishes for all young people ?
