Couple guys i play Watervolley ball with enjoy eating at the bar after we play, in the last 3weeks we have been charged for things we never ordered , or charged for mixed drinks when we all are beer drinkers, this we feel is no accident, just beware is all i can say, when called to the attention of the bartender, u get : "oh! ok! ,, in the past they put the bill down we paid it,, NOT ANYMORE!

If you are at the bar, the bill is right in front of you, easy to check from time to time. Never a bad idea to do just that anywhere. By the way, we've been going to Codys for almost 6 years and never had this happen. You should mention this to the GM, or owner.

Of course you should check the bill at ANY restaurant before paying!

I take your comment with a grain of salt. The bartenders would not make any extra money by padding your bill. They are not paid on commission.

Cody's is one of two great bars at Lake Sumter Landing - the other being CityFire. Good food, cheap beer, and comradarie. What else could you want?

cheap beer doesn't make any bar good, service and ambience+ interesting people to converse with makes a bar good

am just stating what has happened to us,,,btw if it makes any difference, i have been here 11 years, but that has zero impact on these very deliberate dishonest acts that has happened to us,

You are right. Cheap beer by itself does not make a bar good.

In my post I included the good food and comradarie as you did.

Service at Cody's Lake Sumter has always been good with me.

Ambience in a bar could be anything from backswamp friendly to Manhattan chic.

We should meet sometime at Cody's with Polar Bear for an ice cold Goose Island. PB is paying!
