I agree. Bargains and Treasures is closer to home for me, and more reasonably priced.

I saw a used chair there for $90. City Furniture sold the same chair new for $75.

Don't forget you can ask them if they will come down on the price. I am home waiting for an item to be delivered. They came down 20% on the item and lowered the delivery price $20. I love their huge selection.

Expensive...yes! Some of their items are new, I've been told and also as another poster said, you can "dicker" with them to lower their prices. We've not purchased any with them though.

As to the "expensive" topic....the stores have to make money on an item as well as pay the previous owner of the used product.

When pricing items as a FSBO item...some folks don't know how that works. If you purchase an item you sell it for 20 0r 25% of what you paid for it. Sounds fair...it isn't but that's what I was told by an auctioneer once. We had a room full of top of the line, name-brand items and we'd never have gotten what we felt was a good price for them had we sold them. This is what the auctioneer told me and it's true with most re-sales.

Some people here selling stuff, Must go outside, Smoke a huge bowl of crack, and then put the price on the item.
You would think they do there homework first,, NOPE..

Always remember, no matter how funny you may look, smell any used furniture before buying. I have seen people buy furniture, only to get it home, and realize it has an odor either from smoke, pets, etc...
Just my 2 cents ....
