Any Rat Rod builders in or close to The Villages?
 

Is anyone building a rat rod? I would like to see your build, learn from what you're doing and discuss ideas for projects.

Never done a rat rod, but did do 7 Mustangs from the ground up, managed to keep one for TV.

A rat rod is a custom built vehicle usually a car or truck with exaggerated features. The frame is often home made with an old or modern front end and rear end, the engine may be old or modern, the body is often chopped and lowered etc. The craftsmanship and innovation is usually quite amazing although some are just the opposite. These vehicles are drivers not trailer queens. Look up "rat rod" on utube and you will see some examples.

Try J&B Street rods in Leesburg

There is a black one running around below 466A. I see it all the time parked in various rec centers. I believe it has rat rod painted on the side, and a drawing of a rat.
