HP Envy DV7 having internet connectivity issues
 

An older laptop HP Envy is having issues. Cannot connect to internet. Cannot find a connection switch like one that is on my Dell. The orange light is not on (white light is) and airplane mode is off. Other PC's and IPads in the house are connecting fine. Any ideas or suggestions/

Down on the bottom right corner of the screen, you should see an internet / wireless icon. If not, click on the arrow to the left of those icons and see if it shows up there.

Then click on the internet / wireless icon, and select your wireless access point.
