Shooting facility planned for Sumter County
 

Shooters, have you heard about this? -- Sumter County National Championship Skeet and Shotgun Sports Facility.

According to the RFQ document (attached): "Sumter County plans to develop a recreational and shooting sports complex. The complex shall be an attraction on a national scale and be capable of hosting organized shooting competitions while also promoting firearm and hunting safety."

The location is on the west side of I-75, west of Sumterville, off CR470.

sounds great for those of us that are in the shooting sport. miss the sporting clays that in did up in new England. hopefully will get back into it if this is built

Does it mention anywhere if there will be trap fields as well ? I would assume that but you never know. It sure would be nice to have a place close to shoot trap and sporting clays.

In the mean time Eustis Gun Club has skeet, sporting clays, five stand and trap.
