Bavarian BrewHaus in Brownwood

Reflections on our dinner last night... mediocre food , overcooked and overpriced, inadequate number of severs /kitchen staff resulting in poor service.

Will not be going back.

Absolutely agree. The food is not even authentic German. The Leberkaese is horrible!

Last Friday night I had two brats with Bavarian potato salad and coleslaw and it was all excellent. My only disappointment is that they don't have any German beer on tap.

I do agree that the service is terrible. I sat at the outside bar and there was one bartender covering the inside bar, outside bar and wait staff.

I spoke with the people who were sitting on either side of me and they were raving about their food.

pretty hard to mess up brats, potato salad & coleslaw-its a no brainer

Have eaten there. It was okay, but I don't see any reason to return. We've eaten in several authentic " German Restaurants " in our travels around the country and all of them without exception were better and offered a much broader menu.

Its a shame, the management & chef-don't take a few days of and drive to Sanford-spend some time @ The Willow Tree and see how a real German restaurant is run, & bring home a copy of the menu

Very poor imitation of a German Restaurant. Won't be there very much longer without significant changes.

Wish it wasn't so--would like a real German Restaurant in TV.

If they even took a trip to Mt. Dora to the German restaurant there, it would be a help. Mt. Dora is small and has a small menu, but the food is good. Wishing our Brownwood restaurant owners would take a clue from diners. We don't care for your food and your service is poor.

It's probably the worst german food I've ever had. Then again , it's hard to find good food in Florida

Happinow 12-27-2016 09:40 PM

Poor management???

I've eaten there three times. I really enjoyed the food on all three occasions. If you want to try a great dessert, get the cream puff. It is huge and easily serve 3-4 people. I do agree that the service is poor and the place seems very unorganized. It's a shame because I love German food.

Service was absolutely terrifying ... to put it nicely... If that was a German Brat please give me a Hebrew
Hot dog and a drink from Costco for $1.59. Never again at that place even if free!.
