Will this site ever be like it was? So frustrating.

Damn. I know there are some idiots in The Villages....I just don't need to be constantly reminded there are so many......

I am with you. Today is the first time all of this political garbage has surfaced on my machine. Under the guise of the Guest name no less. If they don't have the guts to post under their real name, the moderator should ban, did I say BAN them. Very annoying.

If one really focuses it becomes apparent that there are but just a few posters that are really out of line with their comments and unfortunately they shape the opinion of others concerning this forum. Also consider that the most frequent postings are classified ads followed by political talk. if you eliminate those two forums the TOTV board shrinks to about a page.

We all have interests. Look at Life Leaning college last I looked it had 811+ posts. I mean how much can you say about this issue. Yet some posters find it to be of interest and I have great respect for their feelings. So when I tired of LLC I just skipped right over it. I like that TOTV allows a wide variety of topics as we all have varied interests.

Hopefully the people who run things have learned how to fix the problems. Fingers crossed they have the problems quickly fixed.

Unfortunately, Bare, not only have they not learned how to fix the problems, the problems have gotten worse. After this first started, if you waited 30 seconds and clicked on Hide Classifieds, both the classifieds and political posts disappeared. As of today, neither are disappearing.

The classifieds are annoying--if I wanted Craigs List, I would go to Craigs List. The political posts, however, are the most offensive to me, because even their thread topics are inflammatory. it's all gone downhill.

How long this has been going on! Time for TOTV to find another tech company to solve this problem.

Nowadays politics has ruined more than a few friendships.
Most people don't want to discuss politics , they want to argue politics.
Keep the political people seperate. Let them battle it out by themselves.

I thought it was just me these post started showing up. It's like a rant post every 5 minutes. Tried to make them go away but it didn't work

With technology and updates this can happen.
