POA news sheet on LLC

I read with interest the POA explanation of the legal problems with the closing of the LLC.

Their para headed Summary of the Lawsuit made it so much easier for me understand this controversy and I thank them for that.

It is lying on the kitchen island unopened. I am not a fan of the POA but I think the newsletter has improved since the leadership changed.( Although the ex leader is still on the board.)

I will read it now because of your post Madeleine Amee.

Thanks for posting that. I will look at it. I like a wide range of sources for information about important subjects so this is very much appreciated.

I'm surprised it's not already in your trash can GG, knowing how you intensely dislike the POA and all it stands for - you gotta broaden your mind in your old age Gracie! Two sides to every story, then make an informed decision:smiley:.

I read it. Nothing in there we haven't seen multiple times before. Just trying to appear relevant IMO.

The POA is the ONLY organization that tries to protect us and isn't beholden to, and directed by...The Developer.

How anyone could be against that...is simply befuddling.

No, you are quite correct, no NEW information in the article, but my initial post never said there was! The article has had the legaleeze taken out and straight talk put in so that people like me, who do not have a legal background, can understand what the suit was about.

So is anyone going to the meeting?
I got this message from the POA and thought I should pass it along to everyone. For those who are new to The Villages, there are two associations for homeowners--The VHA, which was started by the developer and usually lines up with whatever the developer wants; and the Property Owners Association (the POA), which is an independent voice that supports positions favorable to the residents.

Though still has no authority but does try and give the minority of haters a voice.

Neither the POA nor VHA are homeowner associations in the true sense.

"Authority?"

No, it doesn't have any.

The residences best interest in mind?

I would say given their track record...a resounding yes!

Or do you think they shouldn't have bothered with this...because they're just a bunch of "haters?"

Here's a number of other things that have helped everyone....and are far from being driven by "a minority of haters."
