If you have not been it is well worth the trip as it is an excellent water park. Best advice I can give you is that you plan on getting there for opening time. If there are younger ones in your party then you might want to get beach chairs close to the waters edge in the wave pool or maybe in a spot further from the water. There are numerous locations around the park with beach chairs or picnic tables so whichever is best for your party the earlier you are there the better location you will have to "camp" your stuff at for the day.

Blizzard Beach & Typhoon Lagoon at DisneyWorld properties. Done both -- fun at both. Rent life jackets for anyone who cannot swim strong at Typhoon Lagoon's wave pool. Time gets away from you when you're having fun and when you run out of energy, the life jacket's a life saver.

Have not been to the water parks in years. One word of caution about Blizzard Beach, The Disney snow reflects the sun in the Florida heat of summer. Be sure to wear extra sun protection and don't forget your eyes. I really hurt my eyes after a long day there with all the glare.

Blizzard Beach is awesome, better then the other one. Yes, best time is when it opens and as the afternoon goes, since people start to leave after lunch. Two points, as has been mentioned the sun is very strong and reflected, so even though everyone wants to lay in the sun, the wife and I ALWAYS get chairs in a shade area. You will get plenty of sun in the water areas. AND, the two high slides, are not for the faint of heart! I went down the Summit Plumit (sp?) which is the highest one, fun? heck yeah!! BUT my butt was black and blue for a week! The water when going down just beats the heck out of your butt! I was so sore......
