Comcast Rate increase
 

Just got notice that my comcast rate is going up and its not because of any special expiring. As of January 1st the "Digital Adapter" fee is rising from $3.95 to $5.95 for each box. When this all starter these boxes were free.....and YOU CANNOT BUY them like you can a modem. What a rip off!!

In addition to that the Broadcast TV fee and Regional Sports fee are all going up in price $2 apiece or $4 per month! Unlike DISH TV at least we can still get NBC and other network channels.

We have that digital adapter box on a tv we rarely use so with this new rate increase that box is getting returned to Comcast this week.


As to the Broadcast & Regional Sports fees a lawsuit seeking class action status is pending in Northern California over the never ending increase of these fees.

Comcast is passing on their rate increases to the subscribers. It is Business 101. The broadcast fees and sports fees go up for them - it goes up for us.

Yeah, I was a little ticked off myself but then I heard about UverseATT and Direct TV issues with the major networks. Glad to stay with Comcast.

We have Dish and have never had a problem getting NBC.

I fired Comcast last week because of the increase and went to CenturyLink, holy cow...how slow, can't do any streaming, really bad. Might have to bite the bullet, and go back to Comcast.
