That will come in handy in the highly unlikely occurrence of a cable car escaping its tether and actually travelling down a street followed by your need to convey that information to a Korean.

Or if I visit San Francisco and some Korean asks "What's that?"

This is actually good for learning Korean as you have to memorize the characters they use and cable car and the Korean for it are similar.
