Women's Rally in Orlando

Anyone attending the Women's Rally at the Lake Eola Amphitheater in Orlando on Saturday January 21st at 1 pm? I'm planning on driving and could take some other peaceful advocates and defenders of women's rights, safety, health and families.

I would dearly love to go, but my husband is in home hospice and I can not leave. Best wishes to you. My spirit will be with you. Thank you for representing the women in our great nation.

I'm going! There is a group of 50+ ladies taking a bus and the cost is $25 each. Not sure if there is room available, but I could check if you like? We're keeping our fingers crossed that the weather holds out.....thunderstorms predicted for Saturday :-(

Please give information on the purpose, the organizer and why you and your group are attending. More than women's rights.

I looked and nothing different or new. What motivated you to want to go?

I'll ask you the same question. What motivated you to go?

I'm not interested. I have always felt equal, and have just as much chance to have health and rights and family as other people who aren't women.

I think we HAVE equality.

GG, I used to have a t-shirt with the slogan: why do women try so hard to be equal when they are so far superior.
I rest my case!

Women have quite a ways to go for equal rights with respect to pay, control over their own bodies, and other things. You guys have made a lot of progress in some countries, some states, and some professions.

Women make approx 80% of what a man makes performing the same job in this country. Anybody who believe that women are treated the same as men are either naive or ignoring the obvious. Women in this country have come a long way in the last century, unfortunately, they still have a way to go.

Then, if you feel as you do, YOU go.

all I can say is "meow". for goodness sake all the op did was offer a ride to like minded people. he or she did not ask for commentary. I have a dog that required medication several times a day or I would go.

:agree: with your comment Bonnevie, but unfortunately, some people always gotta start a fight over nothing!

To the OP, go and enjoy yourself.

heck, I'd be going to Washington if I didn't have a sick dog. Any sense of equality women feel now was hard won in the 70's. I remember coming out of college and no matter what job I applied for I was automatically given a typing test. and told if a man applied for the same job, I'd never get it. Also, that I couldn't get a credit card on my own...the list goes on and on. It's too easy to become complacent.
