Minnesota - Is it the water?

What is it with the voters in Minnesota? First they elect that bald headed wrestling jerk for governor, now it's the unfunny comedian Al Franken to the senate. No wonder this country is going downhill.

Just another ACORN victory.

what does "bald headed" have to do with anything? My guess is that a very high percentage of the male readers of TOTV qualify as the same. I never knew that being bald headed had anything to do with a policiticians competency.

Maybe that's the best they got there or there is a huge amount of I don't care attitude? If they had better you certainly think they would elect someone better. Hard to believe they don't have better candidates in such a large and beautiful state.

Al Franken is positive proof that any clown can win an election (Even though he cheated)

Minnesota - Is it the water?

I don't think it's the water. I believe it has something to do with the cold weather in November. It causes brain freeze.

Mark my words...

It's not just Minnesota. Just watch how millions of Americans fall head over heels for the young, good-looking, feisty 2012 Presidential candidate. It will not matter how woefully unqualified she is, or that she is a mere puppet with her every word orchestrated by a closed group of power brokers.

If you REALLY want to go there and talk about unqualified -- look who YOU elected !!

Sarah Palin would not have us in this mess that we are in now -- both in foreign policy and domestic. I will take the Conservative over the Socialist any time.

To quote another wise sage here on TOTV, "put a sock in it." lol

Come on people. Poor Sarah does not have "community organizer" on her resume. How do you expect people to vote for her. Wait a minute...does she have a legitimate birth certificate? Was Alaska part of the USA when she was born. We could have a scandal here!!!! :a040:

I think you missed the point of my message. I can only assume you are also follically challenged.

Nah, this is nothing new for the state that brought us 'Surrender at Any Price' Eugene McCarthy. He accomplished his goal - we surrendered (pulled out) then the Senate led by McCarthy cut off the promised aid to Saigon. The result was what Senator McCarthy wanted; people who had supported the United States were slaughtered by the hundreds of thousands, religious freedom became history, hundreds of thousands more fled Vietnam, most of them dying at sea but a considerable number of them making it to the United States. That was the only good to come from this debacle.

The slaughter of the Cambodian people by the Khmer Rouge followed as surely as day follows night with no countervailing power to hold the Communist leaders, particularly Pol Pot, in check. Way to go Minnesota! You are continuing to hold up your reputation as the home of the dummies, freaks and lunatics party.

I just shake my head when members of the "loyal opposition" sometimes hear the truth about something, but it is counter to their world view. They just have to say something. The best they can come up with is to raise their voice, attack the messenger or invent their own truth. It's the ole Rush Model. And have you noticed how more and more of the loyal opponents are realizing that this approach is either embarrassing or counterproductive in the effort to develop a new positive agenda and the leadership needed to address today's new challenges.

How do you know for whom I voted? You're changing the subject.
I simply answered the thread about how many folks don't make an educated choice for their elected officials with the suggestion that this could happen on a national scale. Unfortunately it's true that there is a candidate out there who appeals to many despite her repeated comments which demonstrated a shocking lack of knowledge about the world, economics and a few other important topics. Instead of getting mad at me or changing the subject you could try to submit some evidence that the candidate is now competent, or just refrain from commenting at all.

Not to worry. She was born February 11, 1964 in Sandpoint, Idaho. I believe that is a US state. According to a very reliable web site, she was the love child of Larry Craig (before he went gay) and a nomadic atheist woman from Nebraska. Sarah (whose birth name was Starshine Moonbeam
Finklestein) moved with her new stepfather to Alaska where he was a radical Inuit shaman. Raised on a diet of chipmunks that she caught, the occasional arctic hare and melted snow, it is no wonder that she retains that blood lust today. It was only cheerleading and the chess club in high school that brought her into mainstream thinking. We'll just have to watch carefully and see which direction Sarah chooses to take in her future. No doubt, MSNBC will have a satellite truck in her front yard to keep us posted.
