Head on a swivel near ATMs
It’s easy to become complacent these days but we must always be vigilant. When approaching or leaving an ATM or bank you must have good SA (situational awareness).

I am always on high alert when using an ATM. I try to use one with high visibility. I don't like using drive up ATMs because they limit your vision of the area and some are very hard to get close enough to use.

We got a Citizens First account when we first moved to TV. We use the acct to elec BillPay all our TV/home insur/tax/utility bills.
Great cust service from their many local bank locations. Best benefit is the handy 24hr ATMs (no service charge if CFB cust) at many of the TV postal facilities. Well lit, and (hopefully) quite safe. |
This is a little off topic. Two weeks ago, my 92 year old mother learned that some jerk opened 7 accounts in one bank and 1 account in a credit union in her name. We only found out about it because the bank sent her a letter about one account. We called the bank and learned about the other accounts. We were told to get a credit report from TransUnion, Experion or Equifax. We live in Michigan and the credit reports also lists an address in Texas! Mom googled the address and found some info on this guy! My advise is get a credit report to see if there is anything unusual on it!

Hardly ever use cash, if you need cash why take a risk go into your local branch & cash a check--stay away from any non bank ATM and if possible avoid any ATM that is not in the confines of a bank--even the ones outside of Publix
