Polo Grounds Hours?

When are the polo grounds open to the public, not for games or events but for joggers, walkers, kiters, etc.

I believe the RC club is out there 8am to noon Mon thru Fri mornings and the kite flyers are in the morning also. Here's links to RC club and the kite club, they should know.

I've been by and I think its anytime there isn't something going on. I see dogs at times

There used to be a sign to access the north fields indicating the gates would be closed at noon. Not sure if this is still the rule.

I have jogged and walked over there at all different time of day with no issues

They close some of the gates for golf carts (non street legal) around noon or it may even be 11 AM. I will check at some point.

There is still car access further north where the horses and their trailers come in. I believe the remote control people also come in through that northern entrance. It is at the far north end of the Polo Fields.

Can drones be used there? Its the new young thing to do!!!! If not, I'll just fly over the golf courses :)

PS: Thank you BestBuy for having a good selection.

Yes, the RC Club is there every weekday morning. Unless there is an event scheduled.
Dude, you may want to call the RC Club before you fly your drone over a golf course.

The RC Club is called The Village E-Flyers. The Villages has strict rules about where and when you can fly r/c airplanes and drones. Over golf courses is a no-no.

I googled the interwebs and found The Villages E-Flyers (or at least I think I did) and there in nothing mentioning Drones.

Can you point me in the right direction.

In post #2 I posted links to both The Villages RC club and Kite club. On the e-flyers home page on the left side they have links on how to contact them, their schedule, flying rules, and application and membership.

Saw a drone flying over the 3rd tee on Bogart a couple of weeks ago.

I used to fly mine there all the time. I didn't fly when the E-Flyers were there. I waited until later in the day. Never had a problem, and was never spoken to by anyone with authority to limit my flying or being there. As far as The Villages having strict rules, I've yet to see them. I'd be interested if the person who posted this could cite where he/she saw this. I've since flown near my house, and in the fields near Brownwood.

As you say, TV is not very strict on their enforcement of rules, however the golf course is not one of them. Since they have paid ambassadors riding around in company golf carts, they will tell people walking or riding bikes on the course to leave. So if they see a person flying an RC aircraft over the course, there is a good chance they will say something.
