CERTIFIED Symbol on pre-owned listings

Have been looking over the pre-owned listings on the Villages web site and am somewhat puzzled about the symbol on some of the sales units, but not others. Seems as if The Villages is great at marketing, so it must have some applicability - just curious....... Should I ignore those without the seal? Just wondering as we are planning a visit so doing some home work. Thanks

I'm not 100% sure, but a Certified Home may carry some type of limited warranty.

Do not ignore any property listings. As long as we've been here I've never heard anyone say that the "seal" meant anything.
Be sure to check the MLS listings for The Villages. There are at least as many homes there, and unlike the rest of the world, the listings are absolutely separate. Then when you visit, look at everything in your price range.

When we were looking, I asked our realtor that question. He said that the homeowner was providing a warranty.

Even if a house is not "Certified" and you like the house - make an offer and stipulate that you would like the seller to provide the warranty as part of the deal. And if the seller won't - ask the agent to throw it in to sweeten the deal. I'm not sure how this will work with The Villages Sales Department - but it is definitely a negotiating tool used in the real estate business.

We just listed our villa with the Villages Realty and were advised that the certified home was a type of insurance that they recommedned for the older homes. Since mine was build in 2006 they told me I didn't need it.

The house we have in West Des moines Iowa had a home warranty when we bought it and we renew it every year for peace of mind. When it sells we are coming to the villages.:beer3:
