Tennis Courts

Daughter visiting and plays tennis. We are near 466A. Does anyone know what courts are available?

Also if she wants to play PIckleball, do the rec cents furnish paddles?
Thanks everyone.

Go here to get all the tennis information:http://www.golfthevillages.com/tennis/

The rec centers have paddles, go to the reception desk and sign them out.

Are the only tennis courts available at the country clubs? None at the rec centers?

Avista,

Tennis courts are available at all the neighborhood rec centers (Bacall, Truman, Canal, etc) and regional rec centers (Colony, Lake Miona, etc).

It wasn't clear if your daughter was bringing a playing partner or looking for a game..... if she has a partner, then there are plenty of open play time slots for them to snag a court. Check the Thursday Rec News for when courts are reserved for leagues and know that they are available first come first serve other times.

If she's looking for a partner and just wants to join an open group, that's a little more challenging. Again, check the Thursday Rec News and look for times/places where women's groups play and it says RR (round robin) or Open. If it say Lg, League, or NBL this is an organized event where players sign up in advance and you can't just show up. All the free courts are hard surface. If she wants to play on green clay soft surface that is available at Glenview and Lopez for a fee.

Avista,

Is your daughter here next week? If so I would be happy to take her to a couple morning tennis round robins. PM me if she is here and interested.
