House Bill to Triple our Insurance Premiums!
 

Florida Representative (R)Gus Bilirakis and (D)Kathy Castor from the Chairman and ranking member of the Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee have submitted House Bill #HR 708.

This would make our insurance premiums 3 to 5 times HIGHER than the amount to folks that are younger than us!

"INSURERS WILL BE ABLE TO CHANGE ITS OLDEST ENROLLEES UP TO 3 TIMES AS MUCH AS YOUNGER ENROLLEES. THE NEW PROPOSAL WOULD CHANGE THE AGE RATING TO 5.1 OR HIGHER." according to a study from AARP Public Policy Institute.

"An average person 60 years and older would see their insurance bills go up by $3200 annually; making their average annual premium a whopping $17,000!!!

I did not place this into the "Politics" catagory so don't write saying I should. This is a major concern to most of us seniors and I just called Gus Bilirakis' office and let them know my concern regarding this bill. This information came from AARP.
I hope you will call these people and ask that this bill not be passed.

Please help to stop the huge increase that we cannot afford! They are in session right now behind closed doors deciding on a new health care bill which must include this I am sure!
