Wonderful! Fernando Varela on PBS
 

Orlando native Fernando Varela performed a concert a couple months back at the Orl Dr Phillip's theater, and it was broadcast (recorded) on PBS last night. It was simply FANTASTIC!

It was a PBS special, part of fund raising - 1.5 hours with breaks for interviews with FV and appeals for $$. There were articles in Daily Sun and Other Website promoting it-glad they did as we tuned in.

His concert was fabulous. Many original songs with orchestra, great effects, backup groups, and Jackie Evancho performing a couple songs with him.

We saw him perform in TV with the 3 Tenor group. How he has grown... The concert is OMG great. Recommend to DVR the rebroadcast = you won't be sorry...

It will be broadcast locally on WUCF-TV, Orlando. The concert will be rebroadcast on March 12, at 6:30 p.m.

I agree, it was terrific.

Last song had a line, "oh,what a wonderful life is the one you want and the one you live, verere"! Sounds like us villagers. :D

Valera and Jackie Evancho say, "The Prayer", beautifully!

I really enjoyed his song selection.

Shows like this is, what television, was made for.

It was an extraordinary concert. Loved the duet with Jackie Evancho. I was so engrossed I forgot to record it. Isn't it scheduled to replay on PBS?
