Garage living space
 

I know it's not recommended or popular but can you convert a garage to living space in the Village's?

1) check your deed restrictions
2) check the fire/building codes

Probably not, but that's only my GUESS.

Check with ARC, and the county building department I but I agree with Bjeanj, I doubt the you would get the approvals to do this.

Where would your vehicle(s) sit?? I think it's againest the ARC restrictions for them to be out in the driveway as a permanent spot of storage. As the others said...check with ARC and see what they say for further clarification.

Incorrect. Leaving vehicles in the driveways is not a violation, regardless of where you live in The Villages.

Your car can sit outside, we have quit a few that the car will not fit in the garage

My neighbor use to park his car out on the driveway until he discovered that the rodent population was using it during the night as their jungle jim.

He added on to the garage and now parks his car indoors

I hang out in the garage and use the golf carts as furniture.

If you can't, I'm telling my Bride she can't send me to the garage any more.

A guy on our street (now deceased) had his garage insulated with duct work and had several floor to ceiling closets installed as well as a flat screen tv on one wall and a small refrigerator. It appeared to be his 'man cave' or refuge from his spouse.
