Golfcart Decals
Just bought a pre-owned golf cart and need the names & design decals removed and replaced. Do you know where I can get this done? Thank you.

Try doing it yourself. Use hair dryer to remove the names and decals. It works really well.

In addition to a hair dryer, soak a rag with mineral spirits (can get at any hardware store in the paint department) and hold over decals to get them as wet as possible. Mineral spirits will help dissolve the adhesive and make removal much easier. Don't try to scrape them off or you will scratch the carts finish. I also use mineral spirits when re gripping golf clubs, works great. Good luck.

I was able to remove using finger nails, some heat, but a PLASTIC scraper should work well also. Once you have the decal off, GOO BE GONE is effective for getting the remaining adhesive off. WD40 will also work, but you must wash and clean with alcohol before applying new decals.
You may be able to just park your cart in the sun and use that heat to get the decals off. Hope this helps. |
GooGone and a plastic razor blade.

We recently used Bob Martin, 352-552-2800 (Bob Martin Signs - Lamp Post and Golf Cart Signs, Social Cards and License Plates for The Villages, Fl) to add custom decals and names for our golf cart. He also does lamppost signs and social cards.

It's easier than I thought. TV Golf Cart sells them for $8.00 each. The salesman will even put them on for you.

Thank you, all !
