Sealing garage floor ???
 
Dear Fellow V's:
Please explain the need to seal my new garage floor
All help appreciated

Hot really necessary, but more of an aesthetic thing. I had mine done with epoxy so that it would look better, and be easier to keep clean. Another plus is the lack of "concrete dust" in the garage.
On the down side, it is a bit of a pain to mop up the water that comes in with the car after downpour....but that does make me keep it cleaner.
All in all, I find the pluses outweigh the minuses and would do it again.

If you want to just eliminate the concrete dust and staining (concrete absorbs moisture) you can toss some Thompson's water seal on it. If you want it more attractive , then the epoxy or there are professional companies who will paint it with some concrete stain that's actually longer lasting.

I'm procrastinating, it's just a garage floor LOL
