Use my outdoor smoker in The Villages?

I'm new to The Villages and am wondering if I can use my outdoor smoker. I usually smoke a brisket or two for St. Paddy's Day and have enough to last a few weeks. The whole smoking process takes about 8 hours. Smells wonderful to me, but am unaware if I'm breaking any rules.

I thought to just fire it up and see who shows up, offer them a Guinness and sandwich!

Technically not against the rules but if excessive it could be labeled a public nuisance. Go for it to see what happens.

I regularly smoke pork butt, ribs, brisket and many other things. A I would say it averages out to twice a month. We live in a CYV and have not had any complaints. Of course we usually invite the down wind neighbors for pulled pork. :)

It's only legal if you invite us. Go for it, it is not against the rules

Your going to be fine. Just the fact that you would inquire shows your thoughtfulness. Let error rip! Enjoy. :mmmm:

Um, where did you say you lived? Course, I will admit that I consider it cruel and unusual punishment to drive by some bbqing or smoking. My mouth just starts salivating like crazy.

Enjoy! I'm sure your neighbors will, especially if invited over for a snack.

I just did two racks of ribs and four chicken breasts today. 6 hours total Cook time. Have a pellet grill for a year now and no complaints. Smoke and enjoy.

enjoy your outdoor smoker.

I wonder where the places have gone that once offered broasted chicken and potatoes on their menu

Grillin' n smokin' for 13 years.

Just do what you normally do or did in your every day lives and you will not have a problem.

Much more tolerable odor than sitting at any of the tobacco laden outdoor dining areas at restaurants

Funny, I was just wondering about this myself.

Can't wait for that law to change. In the town squares for every smoker who will stop going two non smokers will take their place.

You might have to feed the guys on 3 or 4 fire trucks, but that's OK.
