Bird cage distance from golf fence

Can someone tell me if there is a specific distance that you have to be from a golf course fence when putting up a bird cage.

We were told 10 feet - but - is that just here, or universal villages.

And if your restrictions are 10 feet - and you want to be closer - is this something that you bring up at your neighborhood meetings?

Who told you 10 feet?? There is no neighborhood meeting, talk with deed compiance or architectual (always slept thru spelling) review.

As KyBlue said, check with deed compliance or architectual review for your particular location.

I am in Mira Mesa (Lady Lake).
In my case I had to stay 10 ft from the back line with my bird cage with vinyl windows.
However, I could have extended the patio up to 2 ft from the line.
I'm guessing there will be differences between homes - villas - etc.
And I don't believe you ever get a variance granted.

You might want to get a reputable contractor to give you an estimate - a good one should be knowledgeable of the restrictions - and more importantly a good one should draw up the plans and submit them to both the county for building permits and to the architectural review committee for approval.

You should have received a site plan for your home that shows setbacks.

For our 'normal' backyard we could put the birdcage out to 10 feet from the property line.

I may be recalling this wrong, but, for a friend on a golf course fairway (not against a fence) I believe he had to be 15' from the property line in the back for his cage.

And, I agree, you're not like to get any variances from the deed compliance office to put it out any further.

10 feet from the property line is the standard zoning.
If you want something different , you can always ask. Can't hurt
