24 million uninsured given the healthcare they expect...$1,000 a month worth...costs $264,000,000,000 that's $264 billion a year. That's $800 from EVERY man woman and child to cover the poor. BUT...not every man woman and child PAYS taxes. Only about half the population contributes anything, so it's costing "productive" people an EXTRA $1,600 a year to provide welfare to people who are already receiving government benefits. I don't think it's worth it...I vote no too. When you're already leeching off of me...you can't MAKE me pay your hospital bills too. When you die of "natural causes" you die. IF you don't like that deal...you are welcome to join me in being productive and buy your own insurance. |
There is no question our healthcare is a financial mess

Yet, our results are about the same in terms of life expectancy. As to uninsured-We do not deny healthcare to anyone. If, you have no savings etc there is nothing to take so it is written off as noncollectable. Like any other BUSINESS this THEFT is added to the bill of those who do pay. For two years, before we qualified for Medicare, we paid 12,000 a year for healthcare insurance. At that cost, we had considered self insuring but fortunately we did not make that choice. I spent four days in the villages hospital for which they issued a bill of 50,000. AETNA our insurance company paid the bill in full for 20,000. If, WE paid the same price for the same service that the insurance companies do, self insuring would be a cost effective option. There is nothing else besides healthcare that you do not ask about cost. You do not ask about other perhaps, less expensive options |

Why are you NOT outraged about the tax cut included the this bill? You don't like taking care of the working poor but you have no problem with making the rich richer? https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/10/b...peal.html?_r=0 But why is it you think your tax dollars will fund Trumpcare. Please provide a link to any documentation to back up your claim. |

That's dental...they get that too? I'm not talking about the WORKING poor...I'm talking about the perpetually poor...who haven't and won't do anything. Healthcare can be part of a "minimum wage" package every worker gets, cut back or freeze the minimum wage and have employers pay healthcare for all employees...how's that? Add it as a payroll tax...like SS and Medicare...it could still be individually contracted through insurance companies, but the premiums come right out, like medicare supplement payments come out of SS automatically. An allotment to use a government term. That way...if you want care...you have to work. And you'll have to be legal too. |
