Here's the problem---nobody ever has a mongoose when you really need one:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

It won't be moving very fast outside in these temperatures

Why does the state allow citizens to have a permit for non native venomous snakes?

Even the non-venomous snakes are dangerous. There was a two year old child killed by a Burmese python in 2009 just up the road from The Villages in Oxford.

The druggie parents of the child did not secure the top to the snake's enclosure and the snake strangled and partially ate the child. The parents are both serving prison time for manslaughter.

Yes. I was bagging it to bring over to your house because I know how much you like snakes. Unfortunately a lobster crossed my path and distracted me.

There you go. What they need to do is turn a bunch of hard-shelled lobster loose in the neighborhood. The snake will die of exertion after trying to bite the lobsters. And you and Barefoot can still argue over who gets the lobsters

We have a shared snake who patrol's our neighborhood. I named him Sammy and he just wants to live his life and be left alone. Fortunately I feel the same way. I've been schooled by the expert charmer of the neighborhood that Sammy keeps the bad snakes away. I saw the Cobra on the news and wonder why people must have these exotic pets. My middle son is out of his mind about raising Iguanas and Exotic Birds. The birds are beautiful and he is the most popular dad on show and tell day at his kids school. The biggest Iguana bit my finger when I was feeding him a grape. I can barely spell Iguana, I don't like them either.

I hope they find the Cobra before he hurts someone.

By hurt, I assume you mean kill. I doubt that The Villages Regional Hospital has cobra anti-venom.

Even if the snake could travel 20 miles in a single precise direction, it wouldn't survive the first round-a-bout.

I heard they had a lizard too and think the lizard ate the 2' Cobra. Authorities did an xray of the lizard but couldn't confirm it had a 2' cobra in it.

Apparently not your normal house gecko.
