Watching the Repugnantcans focus on the leakers, instead of what the President Of The United States lied about...was beyond embarrassing as a patriotic American citizen.

Simply incredible. :ohdear:

I did get one belly-laugh though, when I read Garry Kasparov's dead-on tweet....

Actually the hearing was supposed to be about leaks.

What was really sad was watching the democrats make speeches and tell Director Comey and Director Rogers that they disagreed with them.

For the record, Director Comey only stated that the FBI did not have any evidence to support wiretaps. He did not say they didn't happen. We know there were leaks and we do know that someone either tapped or bugged Trump Towers. That is how the information about General Flynn was obtained.

The democrats were a complete joke here. They were not at all interested in hearing what these two men had to say, they were simply interested in making political speeches.

For the record, Trump accused the former president of "wire tapping" Trump Tower during the 2016 Presidential Election. Trump was not willing to reveal his source of information.

According to Director Comey, there is no way that a President can order "wire tapping", only through the process of obtaining a warrant, through a FISA court, or a district, or federal court is that possible.

Trump then accused Obama of using the British Security Services to do that illegal bidding, which was also debunked by Britain. Trump then accused a FOX commentator as the source of that information, which FOX summarily denied. That particular commentator, has had close ties to Russia, and the speculation has been made that Russia was the source of the Trump lies.

Just because there is no evidence to support wiretaps does not mean that the converse is true.

Your reading of the information has shown a severe lack of critical thinking and information analysis on your part. Your ranting is more likely to have come from your comrades at the other end of the bar after a "Villages Happy Hour" starting at 11AM

I truly hope that you were just joking...regarding the purpose of today's hearing.

Because if you are truly this ill-informed and/or brainwashed, you would save yourself a lot of future embarrassment if you stayed out of further political threads...and just slunk slowly away now. :ohdear:

Yes, and did you also hear him when Comey said that he could not discuss FISA procedures in ANY form in the open? I took that to me than he could not say one way or the other that anything had gone through the FISA process or had even been requested. Not yes, not no. Nothing. Period.

Also, just because he said they could find no evidence of wire tapping, he did not say that it had not happened....just that they had not uncovered any evidence that it had. Just because President Trump or anyone else does not reveal their sources does not mean that what they say is "made up" or lies. On the other hand, that too, is possible. Anything IS possible, including wire tapping, surveillance, leaks or whatever you want to call it. Somebody got an awful lot of information that should not have been available otherwise.

Somebody knows something. They just ain't talkin'.

The current President States accused the former President of the United States based a statement by a FAUX NEWS analyst. We allow now know there was no basis in fact for this statement. The only thing for the current President of the United States to address the American People and admit he was wrong. Then offer his apology to President Obama!

Actually the hearing was supposed to be about leaks.

Actually you are completely wrong. The GOP members with the exception of Ros-Letinin only wanted to talk about leaks but that is not the reason for the hearing by the House Intelligence Committee.

The hearing was called with one specific purpose.. to investigate what role the Russians had in manipulating the US election. And who if anyone in the country either intentionally or ignorantly aided the Russians in that goal.

Here is the official committee announcement of the hearing... and you can look it up by clicking the link

"The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) will be holding an open hearing on its investigation into Russian active measures during the 2016 election campaign.
The hearing will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, March 20 in room 1100 of the Longworth Building"

So I will await your admitting that your statement about the purpose of the hearing being one to investigate leaks being wrong.

Actually the hearing was supposed to be about leaks.

Actually the hearing was to begin to investigate what the Russians did to influence the US Presidential election. The relevant agencies have already reported that the Russians did use multiple methods in their attempt to manipulate it, to support Trump and to oppose Clinton.

From the intelligence report:

We assess Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an influence campaign in 2016 aimed at the US presidential election. Russia’s goals were to undermine public faith in the US democratic process, denigrate Secretary Clinton, and harm her electability and potential presidency. We further assess Putin and the Russian Government developed a clear preference for President-elect Trump. We have high confidence in these judgments.

They have not drawn any conclusions as to what the result would have been had there been no Russian interference, but they left no doubt in their report that an attempt was made.

House Intelligence Committee to Hold Open Hearing on Russian Active Measures Investigation | U.S. House of Representatives

Here is the official title of today's hearing:

The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) will be holding an open hearing on its investigation into Russian active measures during the 2016 election campaign.
The hearing will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, March 20 in room 1100 of the Longworth Building

So you are wrong, or perhaps you just subscribe to another alternative fact.
