Has anyone been to see dr tran the dermatologist?

I have not. I use Dr. Michael Freeman and cannot say enough good about him. Well organized, great personality, fully competent. Many times I am OUT of the office even before my scheduled appointment time. HUH? Last week, my appointment was 8:15 a.m. I was leaving the lot at 8:10.

Last year, I had a weekend infection problem. I called his answering service. He returned the call in a few minutes. Said he could not see me over the weekend but would see me 1/2 hour before office hours Monday morning. I came in at 7:30, and HE had pulled my records himself and was waiting for me. Have you ever heard anything like that?

My bride has used Dr. Tran for several years and always been quite pleased with the service.

Mr 07 has seen Dr Tran.... he is top notch if you need derm surgery for cancerous/pre-cancerous growths and skin patches. Takes a long time to get an appt and you only see him if you have a major issue. For minor stuff, the staff sees you.

I went to Dr Freeman and agree with TalkHost's assessments on his office efficiency, ease of getting an appt, his thorough nature, etc. I just go for an annual once over and have not required any additional treatment but would feel comfortable having him do it.

I think Dr. Tran is awesome.

I went to Dr. Tran after a few golf buddies had good experiences with him. He was professional and to date I have been satisfied with his work. I understand he did a lot of cosmetic surgery before concentrating on dermatology. His staff handles issues like examinations and biopsies. Hope this helps.

Besides being a good doc, Tran's office is well run & efficient. Technical staff also very competent.

The standard treatment for removing basal cell carcinomas is to cut out the spot plus a margin equal to the size of the original cancer, and then cauterize the wound. This is the treatment we received before we moved to TV. Now, however, it seems as if every dermatologist we have heard of like to make a 6" incision to remove a 1/8" spot. This involves stitching and excessive "healing" time. We are tired of having the Frankenstein look for several months. Does any one use a dermatologist who is not so CUT happy?

One thing I found in Florida is seems like MOST of them like to over cut.
Once back home this spring my doc in Mich said there was no way I needed to be cut in three spots after only three month from when he say me.

He, with tongue in cheek, said "the Florida Doc's are known for cutting ".

Got to find some good doc's down here.

does anyone know of a reliable dematologist?

Dr. Freeman has been a very reliable dermatologist for us. Very good background, especially in sunshine states :-)

Heck they even want to cut around benign moles down here. Apparently there is a subjective system of grading benign tissue now and just about anything is called pre-cancerous so that you will opt to eliminate any risk even though they cannot tell you what that risk is. My general impression here is that the doctors know how to work the Medicare system. Too many people just do as they are told by their doctor who according to everyone, is the best.

But the real question is does he cut just about every time you go in, if so
then I would wonder about him.

If your answer is no he doesn't then I would tend to agree with you and maybe this would be someone for us to look at.
