Do you have a September birthday?
 

Well, I do and I'd heard that the renewal of my license plates would be more expensive if I waited until after the first of the month I went to the office yesterday and renewed 'em.

Total cost for 2 years for my car and my motorcycle: $121

Today I got the renewal forms in the mail and lo and behold, they've got the new, higher rates.

Total cost (new rates): $198

Yikes! I knew it'd be more but that's a wicked lot more.

So, if your plates (or "tags" as they're known down here) expire in September you may well want to get them renewed before September 1st.
