of ours came to visit us here from her summer home on Cape Cod, MA. Now this woman and I are polar opposites politically, with her being liberal and me a conservative. The subject of the health care proposal came up on CNN while we were having coffee this morning. Guess what? She wasn't for the BO proposed plan, but adamantly against it! A staunch liberal/OB fan and outright angry at the proposal as it is currently talked about.

Who would have thought that political opposites would agree that we don't buy
into a government program such as is proposed? Just goes to show you that there are smart people on both sides of the spectrum.

From what I have read, people from all political leanings are not happy with the fuhrer. Many liberals and moderates are very pro-American and patriotic and are disappointed with the One's rhetoric.

All polls show the majority of Americans are against the plan. Some polls by a significant margin. And yet our wonderful Congress and Senate will probably still pass it. They will change it a little so they can justify their support for it, but will still pass it. And we the people will still re-elect them. Because it is everyone else's elected Representative that is doing such a bad job, not mine. We deserve what we get until we throw all of them out. I vow I will not vote for an incumbent who support this or any thing close to this health care plan.

But sadly most will. Even though they disagree, they will still vote party lines. Everyone is up in arms about pork in bills. Go pull the list that shows who votes for pork the most. And they keep getting returned again and again. Probably shows most voters are not educated about the true values of those they vote for.

And therein lies the problem.

We get what we beget...and what we deserve.

The democrats like to use Massachusetts and California as role models. Go figure. Both states are heavily in debt. Massachusetts health care is a failure. California is so deep in the hole they may never crawl out.
So why are they held up like a trophy to the liberal progressives? Because the incumbents are almost always re- elected. The democratic party doesn't seem to fear the elections. They hold the population in contempt and rightfully so.!!!

We were just sent an email from USWA President . He stressed the fact that We should all be for OBAMACARE. He also stressed that about 80% of all working people are for Socialized medicine. Boy did he open the door.
In about one hours time we have close to 100 email replies and so far I counted three people that are for it . The good thing is that they posted all the numbers to call our representatives and give them our two cents. Wife and I will be picketing this coming Friday .:cus::cus::cus:

Good for you. After almost 30 years together, my wife and I picketed for the first time at the April 15th Tea Party in Hyannis, Massachusetts. I never meet a bunch of nicer people in my life. These were ordinary people with everyday jobs who went there unsolicited to express their opinion on where this great country was heading. We will definitely be attending more Tea Parties in the future.

The GOP candidate that has a pretty good chance of being "the" guy in 2012 is a big proponent of the Massachusetts system. How do we square that with conservatism?

A republican governor in Massachusetts is basically a figure head as it cannot even veto any bills because the House is all democrats.He might be able to negotiate a little with the media and maybe a little behind the scenes but the democrats have been controlling Massachusetts forever.

While I am not endorsing Mitt Romney, I would certainly prefer him, with his strong financial background, be President today than either Obama or McCain. In any case, I am not going to disagree with Gnu on Mass politics.
