Experience with Multi-Focal Cataract surgery

Does anyone have experience with the Multi-Focal Cataract surgery? I would be interested in how you are doing with it.

Thank you.

By multi-focal cataract surgery, are you talking about mono-vision-type surgery? I've worn mono-vision contacts for years, and had cataract surgery done on my distance eye 2 years ago. I have not had my "reading" eye done yet. I've had no problems with the distance eye and only have to wear a "reading" contact lens, or reading glasses. I've noticed no difference between wearing 2 contacts, and now, only wearing one.

Both the wife and I have had multi focal lenses implanted. Mine were 6 years ago, hers 6 months ago. Both of us are totally glasses free. Hers were alot more expensive as she made bad astigmatism in both eyes.

I had one eye (cataract) done, with a multi-focal lens. It took a while for the reading level to be clear, but is ok now, and the other eye compensates, as I don't need any reading help unless the distance is corrected. Monovision works for me, as i am glasses and contact free.

Multi-Focal (meaning seeing near & far) with lens implants.

Had them in both eyes two years ago. Honestly I would say it took about 6 months for my brain to adjust, just as the doctor said it would. I can see everything now, got rid of all glasses! One thing tho, even with sunglasses I find it very very bright outside sometimes, can not follow golf ball sometimes but see where it lasts.

I had mulitifocal lenses and astigmatism correction. I am very pleased with the results. One problem that you can have with multifocal is seeing halos at night. I do have that problem but it becomes less over time. I'm glad I did it. First time without glasses in 30 years.
