water treatment and water towers

Does anyone know if and where there are any plans for these items given the increased number of houses

When I was in TV recently I stopped at the district office and asked about water treatment plants within TV. I found out that there are none or at least what I know as a water treatment plant.

First let me say that here in the Akron Ohio area we get our water from a lake a number of miles from the city. The water is pumped into a filtration plant for purification and chemicals such as chlorine and fluoride are added. The water is then pumped through the city for use. We do not have a separate water system for irrigation.

In TV you do not have a purification plant as we have in Ohio. In TV the water is pumped from the aquifer and then filtered at the well head and then pumped to the users. The filtration is monitored at each well head and filters changes accordingly. I am not sure if any chemicals are added but I would think the well head area would be much larger.

You could basically say that you are getting filtered well water here in TV. I believe that is why you see homes with softener and filtration systems installed as a personal preference to the lever of softness and taste.

what about sewage treatment plants

and water towers

just trying to see if house location is not a problem

No idea about the water towers but you may try calling the district office and see what they have to say. They went out of their way in answering every question I asked with great detail. It was a very pleasant chat.

soonfl,

I would have to assume that such infrastructure ... water towers and water/sewer treatment plants would be built/installed in an area long before housing is built. But, it is best to go to the official source for an answer.

I believe that is a sewerage treatment plant but I could be wrong. It does have a special smell if downwind and things are right.
