Wanted - Recommendations for new laptop computer

I'm replacing my current Dell laptop computer. Looking for recommendations for one with a 17" screen. Very happy with my current choice but it has become outdated. Currently using Microsoft office, Applications for Stock trades, Quicken, surfing, etc.

Depends on what you will use it for. Surfing, Gaming, Graphic Design, Word/Excel?

As long as you don't use it primarily for gaming, photo editing, music, movies, art, anything involving heavy graphics, any will do.

I have been using Windows 10 for two years and am now switching back to Win 7. Win 10 is bloated and has a steep learning curve.

I don't think you will find a 17" one with Win 7 though. I am getting one with a 15.6" screen at Best Buy.

If you're buying it for the mobility I would recommend against 17".

My last one was 17" and it was inconvenient at best.

A 15.6" with an external monitor (24" @ $99. periodically from Best Buy) for use at home is my better choice.

I am buying a monitor too to go with my new 15.6 computer. Just make sure that your new computer has a HDMI port so the video quality will be better when you attach it to the HMDI port in the monitor. The HDMI cable is bought separately.

The Asus lightweight laptops are a great product and easy for traveling. I have bought them for an office as well as personally and think they stand up well.

Also make sure the monitor has it's own speakers. I have trouble with my external monitor as it does not have it's own speakers and it keeps defaulting to the monitor for the audio so I have to keep changing it.
