COST?-and who is the more reasonable, responsible builder for building a 2 car garage
 

I wants some bids to build a 2 car garage. Can anyone tell me who is the most reasonable and still efficient?
Has anyone built a two car garage? What is the "ball park" cost of building one?

Hi, you asked about construction.

In our neighborhood a nice lady had a Lanai extension done by T and D.
I will not go into the gory details, that would be lengthy.
I will say, we have a lot of experience in home building, we used to draw the house drawings for several contractors in another state and follow the subs and the work. We are retired but have built 5 homes from the beginning, clearing the land, and then footings and framing etc., etc.

This local firm took so long, it was unbelievable. They were sloppy, undependable and rude.
Suggestion, look around, get written bids, get a start day, a finish date and a guarantee where if they do not meet the finish day ON TIME there is a reduction in price, DOCUMENT IT, DOCUMENT IT IN WRITING.

We used Gary Rowe. He stuck to the schedule, always told us what the next day would bring and finished in time. I did a 1 car garage. Highly recommend!

i am currently having Harbortown Homes enclose my lanai. They have done work on at least 3 other homes in my neighborhoods. They have been spot on with start time. People are here when they say they will be. no money up front--when something is completed you get an invoice--so you are paying as you go along. At least have them quote you the job. 352-259-3379.
