Tele Medicine?

Hi have you seen or have you been subjected to the new Tele Medicine? Well, I had an appointment with a Doctor, a real doctor so to speak, here in the Villages. When I went in, I was escorted to a small room and a TV set came on and Walla! There is a picture on the screen of a Doctor near Orlando, yes, on a TV screen, he can see me and I can see his image and that was how the office visit was conducted! Well never again, and I am posting this as a suggestion, before going in I suppose we need to ask a simple question: "Is there a real live doctor in that office who will see me today?

It won't help any of us unless you give the name.

Just a bit odd, never seen telemedicine applied to an office visit, and certainly not as the primary mode of rendering care. It is useful in hospital/ER settings to CONSULT a specialist that might not be available on site, or in extremely remote areas of the country. But as the primary encounter???? Personal opinion: If it walks like a duck and QUACKS like a duck......

For emergencies, when offices closed, your in a remoter location etc., Ok. Good move. But when you go for an office f a primary care visit the answer is no. If the primary care doctor wants to call in an expert on a TV to help him that is also ok.
