Homeowners Insurance

Switched my car insurance to Progressive and saved a lot of money vs Travelers Insurance. Tried to bundle with homeowners, and was told they were not writing policies here because of sinkhole claims within 5 miles of my home in Santiago.
My homeowners is not up until Sept with American Integrity, guess I have to stay with them, any suggestions.

Bad bad experience with Travlers. Way to complicated for here. Encourage all to check rates Vs. them.

Who is Fro? R isn't close to L on the keyboard.

Try ASI with the Villages Insurance folks. I had great experience with them after my home was struck with lightening and we were absent. They handled everything. Agency works hand and glove with the adjusters.

State Farm is writing but twice the cost of ASI. We have all our policy's with State Farm and according to our broker their homeowner rates decrease every year, but still too expensive for us.

We have ASI through the Villages insurance. Our cost has risen from $800 to $1500 since we bought the house in 2008. One reason we stay is because we have sinkhole insurance in this policy. Once we change companies and leave ASI we would need an inspection to obtain it from a new company. Many houses do not pass inspection unless they are newer builds even though there are no sinkholes in the neighborhood. It is harder to get sinkhole insurance on previously owned homes. Many times they will write your policy and say pending sinkhole inspection. If they tell you this ask them how many pre-owned homes actually pass these inspections.

Which company and how old is your home? It is the older pre-owned homes I am referring to.
