Donate platelets, red blood cells, plasma or whole blood when you can.

Up to about 16 gallons now just with One Blood but that counts anything donated before mid-2007 too. :welcome:

I hit 15 1/4 gallons Friday and I got my cholesterol down to 167. I really love the mini blood work test we get every 2 weeks. Really makes it easier to control your cholesterol and iron.

Very true. I am taking a little break from platelets so that my calendar in the Fall is open with the 24 donation limit per year.

Will be donating blood on 5/11 at the Parrot Head's drive and then getting back to the 10-16 day rotation of donating platelets. I would like to get another one of those $60 Amazon gift cards which they offer if you do six platelet donations from April 1, 2017 through June 30, 2017.

Just got that $60 Amazon gift card for the first three months of 2017. It took about 4 weeks to arrive.

I hope you are learning on doing the Netflix. There are quite a lot of very good movies on there?

We watch Netflix every night that we watch TV. Love it. I just got my $60 gift card too and I will get the next one too. I have tried to get Oneblood to schedule my appointments to where I donate in the most needed times, but they just say to keep doing as I am. This way I get cut off about Thanksgiving and the snowbirds are back then to cover me.

Good planning. I am just hoping that they continue these $60 Amazon Platelet Drives throughout the year and hope that I run into Juanita again at the fire station. She said they have her driving the bus quite often. She did look a little miffed that I was doing blood rather than platelets. I should be just doing platelets with AB negative but like a little variety once in a while.
