Timer for the Roman shower fan
Thinking about installing a timer for the fan in the master bathroom.
Pros? Cons? What are your thoughts on this topic? ANY imput welcomed. Thanks! |
if you leave it running 24/7 you get no mold. Is that right?
If so, why pay to stop it as if you have a roman shower then the pennies on the bill mean nothing? Did i miss something? |
We've had a fan in all our bathrooms for the past 25 years or so, and never gave it a thought regarding putting the fan on a timer.
Basically, the fan is only on when we take a shower or when shaving, putting on make-up, etc.. BTW, we've never had mold in the bathroom. You would be wasting your money to not only have a timer installed, but also to leave the fan running on an ongoing basis. |
Real easy get a spring wound 30 minute timer switch---works great , put it on went you start shower --costs under $20.00 from Ace Hardware-stops mildew and or mold
|
Leaving exhaust fans on full-time pulls heated/cooled air out of the house, significantly increasing electric/gas costs.

we installed a timer switch purchased at Lowe's that gives you opportunity to set fan to run for 10, 20, 30 or 60 mins. Works great
